I’ve been listening to Chris’ program for a couple of years now. I very much enjoy the wide breadth of topics with the attention paid to Louisiana phenomena. “Yes” I also note the squeaky chair and find it to be an endearing part of the show which keeps it real versus some million-dollar set with a full production crew.

I recently found this podcast and I am obsessed. I’ve learned so much from listening and over the last week I’ve listened to a half dozen shows and I’ve loved each one. Highly recommend if you are beginning to awaken in these beautiful and turbulent times.

His range of guests and personal journey make the show a must for me. I love how many episodes he puts out. I also love that he isn’t biased and has guests that don’t exactly fall into what I imagine he believes but always hears them out with respect and I’ve reached out to him personally and he always replies. Keep it up! This show is NEEDED!! Who care about commercials and vocal volumes… the reviews I just saw are just weird. It’s about the content and he has to support the show somehow… you don’t like his ads, send money to support the show!

I understand wanting to make a buck, but to cram the same 2 commercials in every 10 minutes is ridiculous. It was really distracting. You can also tell that they are just trying to cram it in as much as possible- no rhyme or reason, it’s not at the end of a section. I guess it was effective, though. I can almost recite the commercials at this point. Only up side is I don’t remember them putting a commercial in the middle of a sentence, but that is the only nice thing I can say about it. It was so distracting that I am writing this review 47 minutes into the first episode I am listening to. I could understand every 30-60 minutes there being a commercial, or maybe beginning/middle/end… but this is out of control. If you want to involuntarily memorize commercials that jarringly burst into interviews this is absolutely the podcast for you.

4 stars for content- Minus 2 for commercials. No, I don’t agree with all of the guests, but most are either entertaining or informative. However, the fact that the commercials are aired every 10-15 makes me not want to listen.
