I love their dynamic and the way they create a fun and new space in the world of so many pods. I always love to hear their opinions on important scene matters! You can tell they truly love the scene .

Perhaps more than any other aspect of EKA, the sheer variety in bands and voices is why I keep coming back. I appreciate they aren’t “emo purists” and are willing to step outside the strict definition of the genre to discuss the popular bands that most associate with the scene. Because they’re so good at that aspect they earn incredible cred when they break out interviews with the emerging talent in the scene today. It’s an incredible mix of both nostalgic discussions and a way to lift up the new generation in a time that needs it most. Really was worried there would be some self-hatred of the genre because of the title, but the show has always been anything but that. It’s a celebration of the genre we love, and all of its weird anachronisms.
