I legitimately cried when Bob was unceremoniously canned! It was like losing a long time friend and comforting voice of reason! He called games with flare, accuracy, and honesty. If CBJ was performing badly, then he would call them out and I appreciated his candor! Now Bob’s back and I couldn’t be more excited! He’s out from under management’s thumb and off their leash! Same great Bob now with extra honest opinions and insight!

I was CRUSHED when I heard the news that Bob’s radio broadcasting was not renewed. #1 because I would so miss his calls and the occasional reminder to wonder how hot dogs were made. #2 because the podcast that I listened to religiously for well over a decade (CBJin30) would be no more… But to my surprise and honest elation…Bob is right back, better than ever, with less strings attached or corporate overlords in the mix. And with Aaron Portzline’s thoughtful and concise CBJ knowledge and insight in the mix…what a combo! I’m thrilled about this show and can honestly say it’s helped me re-engage with the CBJ after ruffling my fan feathers this Summer. Thanks Bob and Aaron on behalf of the 5th line!!
