I’ve always wanted to read more of the Bible and this podcast makes it so easy. I love her soothing and clear voice as she reads through the short segments, five per week. I love that I can set my own pace and read along with a NASB. I feel very much at peace as she reads so beautifully. I also love that she lists which chapters are included in each episode’s description. That helps so much with note taking and preparation. Some podcasts include commentary to explain what is being said and this one is solely reading word for word - perfection. Thank you for this.

If you’re looking for a lovely reading of the Bible with soft background music, this is it! No unnecessary “I feel like this is saying…” commentary, no dramatics. This is perfect. Absolutely love it.

I’m sure the lady who narrates this is a wonderful, Christian lady. But it was tough for me to get through each day. I appreciate the effort it takes to create a year long podcast that provides the entire Bible for people to listen to, but this is a review that I wish I would have read before commuting to it and hoping that it would get better.

I feel like the reading was over-acted and many times made the writers sound very whiney and sarcastic. Or when she was reading the words of Abraham or Jacob when he is on his death bed, she would do an old man voice that would cause me to lose focus on the scripture and start focusing on how bad a cartoony the impression was.

There was a strange music behind it that was quite distracting. Sometimes the music has a sort of chanting singing, but no words, that I could have definitely done without. And I’m not sure what translation was being used, but it seemed very repetitive in its word choice as opposed to translating a single word into multiple English words that mean the same thing, so that it would add some variety to the sentence and be more engaging.

Any way,if you’re considering this as a 15-30 minute part of your daily routine, I would listen to a couple chapters in middle Genesis and get a feel for it before you commit the whole year.
