Blurry Creatures

by Blurry Creatures

There is more going on than what you can see. Blurry Creatures is the podcast that takes the strange, the unexplained, and the flat-out weird seriously, and asks what the Bible actually has to say about it. Every week, hosts Luke Rodgers and Nate Henry dig into the topics most people are afraid to touch. UFOs and UAPs. Cryptids and creatures. The Nephilim, the Watchers, and the sons of God. The divine council, cosmic geography, and the spiritual war happening just past the edge of our vision. Rooted in a biblical framework, the show pulls ancient texts, real witness testimony, and honest questions into the same conversation. This is not fringe for the sake of fringe. It is graduate-level theology, academic discussion, and real-world testimony made for regular people, with room for wonder, a healthy dose of humor, and a refusal to pretend the supernatural stopped being real. Whether you are a lifelong believer, a curious skeptic, or someone who has seen something you cannot explain, there is a seat for you here. Come for the mystery. Stay for the truth that holds it all together. New episodes every week.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I honestly never had much time for Sasquatch until my friend got me hooked on Blurry Creatures. We got talking about their approach in allowing people to tell their stories about the supernatural with dignity and then accessing it rationally and with the Bible and the Scientific Method. I don’t question the possibility of supernatural phenomenon from what I’ve seen and experienced so I’m not surprised, but I’ve had SO many questions answered and learned soo much just from the handful of episodes I’ve listened to. I LOVE that they aren’t afraid to ask. I’ve had so many questions about biblical text since childhood and FINALLY someone or someones aren’t afraid to acknowledge the glaring jaw dropping nuggets and attempt to find some answers.

Blurry Creatures blew up my Biblical paradigm giving understanding to some crazy scriptures I’ve glossed over for 40 years. I know all of God‘s Word is true, but didn’t know how to make sense of perplexing passages. Thank you, Luke and Nate, for bringing truth to life through your amazing guests and stories! No turning back.

I see a lot of people complaining about the guest they have on and how their views are heretical. I love that this show is exposing people to different modes of thinking and that they are willing to engage with a range of guests. It feels organic and curious. Even if I don’t align with what 90% of the guests say, going on an ideological journey of different perspectives is awesome. Love what y’all are doing keep it up!

Just found this show and have been binging like crazy. You have to start from the beginning or you might get lost since they reference past shows a lot during topics. Thanks for the fresh perspective on the Bible and cryptids. Keep it up!

I have a lot of fond memories of the early days with this podcast. But it seems like, as this has moved from a hobby to a career for Luke and Nate, more and more the hosts are willing to sideline scholarly research for that which is merely sensational. It seems like they’ll give a platform to anybody, regardless of the guests’ beliefs, so long as there’s a hook and a jab at “the Church”. The hosts constantly complain about “the Church”, and take every opportunity to belittle believers who do not share their opinions or believe there is merit in looking into the supernatural. There is no historical of theological basis for most of what they seem to believe and preach on this show. It’s clear they have little knowledge of church history, nor do they care to study it. They merely agree with every guest, even when the guests stories and views can’t line up. The hosts’ beliefs have no synchrony. Blurry Creatures has become a cult, and this is worrisome as the movement is gaining a lot of popularity. People trust this podcast more than church history and the fathers of the faith. Check out the podcast Haunted Cosmos for this template of Christian supernatural content done right, in a God-fearing way.

When the show first started they allowed their guest to speak more. As the show has gotten older they don’t allow their guest to speak as much. I recommend “days of Noah” podcast. They cultivate an environment that lets their host speak without a bunch of interruptions.
