This podcast is just what I needed. Smart reporting that doesn’t pretend that things are normal or OK, but balanced with a realistic world outlook, a palpable concern for humanity’s future, and the sanity of your listeners. Thank you for your great work.

The two hosts that kicked off my love of daily WAD, Gideon Resnick (ORIGINAL SINGLE HOST) and Josie Duffy Rice, they allowed me to be able to breathe through the toughest news. The addition of Tre'vell Anderson and Priyanka Aribindi took a minute for me to adapt to, but eventually Priyanka became my favorite voice on the show. The recent change to a single host, the mighty Jane Coasten, also takes a moment to adapt to. But, she commands the news. Her short audio essays are powerful and give me the fight I need to make it through the day as the US drops further into everything I don’t want it to be. Thank you, Crooked, for bringing Jane on. I hope other listeners can have the patience it takes to adapt to change and hear the energy and insightful wit Jane brings to WAD.

I’ve been listening to this show for a while but found myself getting tired of the hosts trying to laugh at headlines that really weren’t funny. Jane brings the news we should know daily with a more in depth look at one news item each day. It’s now my go-to news podcast.

I listen every day, perfect amount of info and analysis, and then go on with my day. Jane is wonderful, love her!!!

Please get a different host.
I have continued to try and give the new host a chance, but I’m really struggling to keep listening. I used to love this podcast because it had a really fun energy, and now I have to turn it off halfway through. I think if there were other hosts in rotation, it would be more tolerable. Jane is an excellent journalist, but I think she would benefit from having cohosts.

I am a Gen Z cis woman and I loved WAD’s perspective and diverse lineup of reporters. They were funny and smart and covered stories that needed attention. Now the show is bland. So, so bland. Just unfollowed. I miss the old WAD.
