This is my favorite gaming podcast. It’s very entertaining. You can tell these guys are friends and because of their friendship they aren’t afraid to disagree (and roast, lol) with each other which leads to the best synergistic discussions. They all love gaming but do need to stop hating on VR (shout out to, Alex, for pushing back against these VR hating fools). It’s incredibly refreshing to see people who look like me do their thing. This is much better than IGN style of podcasting everyone tries to mimic (a bunch of white dudes talking about gaming using that specific tone of voice IGN made famous). Thankfully, these guys are un-cancelable, as BG often says. Podcast are long but audio is somewhat low compared to typical podcasts so be prepared to turn the volume up some. WWP makes my long driving commutes and boring days in the office enjoyable. I recommend WWP to anyone, especially those of us looking for representation that IGN type outlets don’t provide. Best compliment I can give is this podcast reminds me of the conversations my close IRL friends and I have about gaming.

Weapon Wheel Podcast is the most unique gaming podcast I listen to. The host BG has a good radio voice and does an admirable job at guiding a group that is particularly difficult to lead. He manages to do this without talking all over everybody which is what some other podcasts hosts do. One of the unique things about this podcasts is that they don't shy away from fanboy culture and fanboy perspectives and he actively invites rival fanboys to the podcasts. Every other podcasts looks down on this and goes out of their way to embrace the Kumbaya all games are great perspective, however Weapon wheel feels fresh and unique because of this approach. Another unique thing about this podcasts is that the guests are usually black and don't shy away from jokes and references related to their culture. As someone who grew up in an all-minority inner city environment, it's almost nostalgic when I listen to this podcasts. It reminds me talking about games with my friends back in the day. The guests aren't as connected to industry as an IGN podcast and aren't as knowledgeable as some of the more hardcore podcast but they all come off as true gamers and are not afraid of having their own opinion versus liking what everybody else likes which a lot of podcasts do. They come off as very authentic. I really like this podcast but It loses a point for 3 reasons 1. Sometimes the fanboy debates fall a little flat, especially if the sides are not evenly matched. 2. The audio quality can be shakey. 3. As annoying as rampant "wokeness" is, rampant "anti-wokeness" is also annoying. I don't want to hear about why someone else is too woke, just skip this topics. With that said, Weapon Wheel is a good gaming podcast and if you can deal with some rough edges you are in store for a unique perspective on what is going on in the world of games.

This is a great entertaining podcast that will make 2-3hrs feel like. What keeps me engaged is the great conversations with very dynamic viewpoints. I like that not everyone agrees with each other. Fall asleep to BG’s steady monotone voice, die laughing as Smoove caps for games he never liked or played, cringe as Bond rags on white women although that’s the only type of women he chases after or as he makes bets with Smoove every 5 mins during the show, be delivered from evil as pastor Blandrew conducts a sermon, and get jiggy with JackMove as he tries to sell you a jiggy ski mask. All jokes aside this is a great, fun, entertaining podcast and each member really brings their own flare to the conversation at hand.
