We’re Knot Done Yet

I recently had cataract surgery (I’m 70), and it was life changing!! So wonderful to have 20/20 vision again. I went with the old-fashioned route, so still need readers, but I don’t care.

I love these girls and always will. That said, die never Knots lovers and core three (Donna, Michele, Joan) super fans have heard alot of this stuff before. I want to hear the good the bad and the hideous. These three icons have a unique perspective and a true friendship so they should go way deeper. We want that heartfelt, messy, wacky and dramatic on and off screen juice. And pour heavy, please. We want to be riveted, impressed, inspired and be on the edge of our seat with each ep just like we were back in the day Thursday nights at 10 (9 central). I was just a little boy when I watched with my Mom. I miss and love her more than ever as I rewatch Knots for the first time in decades and think of her. You three taught me that good people have dimension and depth and can grow. When Karen got shot, I cried. When Laura left, I cried. And felt empty. She was probably the most likable character in the shows history. And Pat who was also killed off. That was heartbreaking too. Karen’s dedication in finding the twins was a testament to real friendship. Although they had this habit of bringing on more and more unlikable characters like Paige, Anne and Claudia who sucked and helped bring the show down, Knots never jumped the shark. Seasons 4-6 were likely the best 3 seasons of scripted television EVER. Honorable mentions for season 10 and the arc when Laura left and then died. Noises everywhere 1&2? Wow! That was unreal. You three are my queens. When I met you I felt your warmth and humanity. I hope that comes through here. Your podcast is Knot going to be like any other and I’m here for it. Love you.

The women are back! Episode 2 is the way to go. Mixing life advice (they’re in their eighties and fabulous!) with memories about the show is a great direction for the podcast to take. We need more women’s voices than ever now!

It’s a cute, quick podcast and it’s great if you want to hear stories and chat from these three fabulous actors. It is not, however about the show Knots Landing. Every once in awhile one of them will mention one of their fellow actors from the show or make a quick joke but if you are looking for some in depth conversation about their time of the show, this is not that. I’ve listened to all 7 of the available episodes and I have yet to hear them read a question from a listener about anything let alone about the show.
