I really enjoy The Show and don't think I've missed an episode since its debut. My only criticism is that the circle of guests is too narrow. We're hearing from some of the same GM's and managers three times now. There must be other owners, GM's, manager, players and I particularly like sports writers and broadcasters that they could reach out to. (I'd love to hear from the likes of Peter Gammons, Steve Phillips, Jim Duquette and others with a different perspective.) That's my only criticism please take it as constructive, otherwise I love the podcast.

The best baseball podcast by far, the knowledge they have and the way they share it is fantastic. They never take themselves seriously but they seriously love the game and it shows. They even have me liking the Yankees & Mets…a little bit.

I have listened to this podcast at least 10 times. What I appreciate about it is that the information is generally good. For example the interview with Steve Cohen was excellent and much more informative than getting bits and pieces of news or rumors about him and how he feels, thinks, etc., about the Mets. What I don’t appreciate is the sometimes subtle and often quite open bias towards the Yankees. It’s not just the information itself, it’s the tone of both hosts when discussing the Yankees versus the Mets. It’s a shame because it turns off general baseball fans such as myself. So 4-5 stars for relevance and information and no stars for attitude and emphasis.
Addendum: Jon is sometimes arrogant or ignorant about things he says. Example the Mets may have bad luck with players who have not played in NYC before because they are built on a graveyard. It’s this type of subtly nasty joking that drives me away from the podcast. I don’t know if Citifield or Shea Stadium were built on graveyards but actually many places in NYC have been. Perhaps the Yankees are a cause of outside players not doing well with the Mets as generally the historic Yankees have gotten first choice of free agents. And the Wilpons typically didn’t do the Mets any favors in their choice of free agents or trades albeit with a few exceptions.
I think I will stop listening to uour podcast which is a shame because you have good facts to share when you are not being arrogant.
