If you’re a NY sports fan, this is a must listen. Real opinions, no fluff and great guests. Feels like you’re talking sports with you buddies It’s authentic, entertaining and always a good listen. Hearing rumors that “Saratoga Wils” maybe making an appearance soon…just sayin 👀 Already apart of my daily listen rotation.
Started listening to Sal with BT about a year and a half ago to get my NY sports, mostly for baseball. Sal is knowledgeable and passionate, also tells a good story about sports or everyday things. Love the dynamic he is building with Badabooms, and that Badabooms isn’t afraid to step up. Excited to see this podcast thrive and grow separately from BT but also with them still teaming up sometimes.
Well that was quick! I was worried that the only place to get my Sal Licata fix was through BNNY or for the last 20 minutes of the Sports Illustrated Media podcast. Thankfully we now have a third option. Great first show. It was informative, it was fun and most importantly it wasn’t delivered by an arrogant hubristic mouth piece like one can hear on the radio these days. The banter with Badabooms will only get better. Can’t wait to see where this show goes.
Loved Sal on WFAN back from the Mike and Mad Dog days through now. Moved to South Carolina so happy about the podcast as I miss the SNY show down here.
I’m so disappointed in what I listened to in this episode. Much of it had to do with personal experiences of Sal and whomever he was talking with about some Minnesota stadium. I was waiting and waiting and waiting more for Sal to even mention the Mets. Yes I understand he had to discuss the Yankees and that’s fine. I also agree that Carlos Beltran would be a good fit as the next Mets manager. But why does Sal have to yell even on his own podcast? I didn’t like that when he was on the radio and still do not. Who is he trying to convince? People listening to his podcast are probably those (such as myself) who enjoyed his intelligence and ideas on WFAN, so yelling is like preaching to the choir. As a baseball fan and a Mets fan I should stay with other podcasts. But I sincerely wish Sal well in his endeavors.
