The Reluctant Adult Podcast is your weekly reminder that growing up is optional, but buying toys as an adult is mandatory. Hosts Paul and Bill tackle the weird, wonderful world of pop culture, collectibles, and childhood obsessions that somehow got more expensive with age. From action figures to comic cons, they cover it all with the enthusiasm of kids and the disposable income of adults (barely). If your idea of “adulting” is deciding whether to open the box, this show is for you. New episodes drop every week. Follow along and remember—we don’t wanna grow up, but we already did!

You can tell these guys are long time pals and it really comes across while listening. It’s a great show to listen to to catch up on all the new toys news in a broad fun way. They never sound like they are talking down to the audience. They don’t pretend to be experts in areas they aren’t and that helps it feel like they are learning about the toys along side the fans.
Great conversations about action figures and everything pop culture. I love to listen first thing after each episode is downloaded.
As I’ve been on the road a lot lately, I’ve had the time to listen to these two friends discuss everything from bikes to trains to video games. I can honestly say I’ve listed to two to 5 a day for the last month. They aren’t always right, and sometimes correct themselves on the spot. I’ll be listening as long they keep producing quality content.
Every Monday I listen to this podcast and I think oh I should write that review when I get off the road then I forget. the reluctant adult podcast is my definitive general toy news podcast. It’s the only one where I feel I care about anything other than what I actually collect. I don’t collect Ghostbusters or a lot of super seven or a lot of the stuff that they’re picking up, however the candor that they have and the joy that they bring and the opinions that they share being so genuine and funny make me enjoy that part of collecting from the outside. I’m a Transformers Guy myself and they rarely ever talk about Transformers in fact when they do, I find it funny the lack of knowledge they have, but that’s just the thing they’re talking genuinely like you would with your buddy at the bar and it makes you feel like you’re in the room with them having that sort of banter. I think we should fund Bills show the toys that made us upset. I think Paul should run for office of some kind. I would definitely watch the their reality show. If Bill had a Cryptid name for him stealing stuff I think it would just end up sounding like an old timey thief like bandit bill or darth diebin (dark thief in German) I have a long drive coming up for a trip and I told my wife I would be saving these podcasts to listen to on the way there however, every time I see a new one pop up in my library it just ends up playing so now I’ll have to listen to the backlog lol. We did already grow up, but we can enjoy stuff just as care free as we once did with the assistance of Paul and
