I’m a fan of the pod overall but it’s obvious that Jared is not investing into these shows the way he used and the way that he does in Uup. I have recommended to friends and they always complain about the lack of editing. I’d love to hear more fun talk and less slurping, burping, gulping, and re-reading. Please drink your coffee and scan your emails/stories BEFORE the pod. Your whole “I want to read it with you” is just you being lazy. Cmon. It’s like the crowd work of podcasting. I don’t want to hear you bumble through; I want to hear a produced entertaining show. Give us 20-30 minutes of good content instead of 40 minutes of sloppy content. I pay for multiple subscriptions but I won’t pay for this until a tad more effort is put in. Please take my feedback to heart because I AM a fan. I just think this pod is some of your laziest work and that makes me sad because it is the reason this pod isn’t growing IMHO.
You can tell Jared puts a lot of effort into the show, every day is so funny. Best part of my day
I take JTrain with me on my daily runs, and it’s the perfect way to zone out and just laugh. Makes the miles fly by and best way to start the day.
Need a pick me up? It's like listening to an old friend, funny off the cuff and relatable
Been listening to this pod since 2013, the tfm podcast days. I didn’t mind when it began skewing to a more female demographic because the content was still hilarious and the format worked. It’s just kind of unbearable now. Go back to weekly guest driven participation and listener emails. Bring back a classic shelb or Mansamp type producer. Miss old train, this current iteration is a step back. Said with love because I really do want to enjoy what Jared is doing.
I miss this pod. I have been listening to Jtrain since the days when he would do the “area code” system and used to ring a bell for “female emails” because most emails were from guys. Now I don’t even listen. He needs a new producer to help him get a better structure. The show needs consistent guests and not just ones who talk about behind the scenes of comedy. Also, I was so excited for the behind the scenes YouTubes but the editing (or lack thereof) makes them so boring and V’s dynamic with Jared’s parents is uncomfortable to witness. Jared is an amazing talent and I hope that he gets a new producer. I still love coffee with jtrain. Best podcast!
