This is a quality podcast that is not only informative but is quick and articulate due to the delivery by the host Travis. It keeps me tuned in for each new episode!!

Travis...I most recently enjoyed listening to your interview with Dr. Brekke. I was interested to hear his opinion on whether it’s prudent to feed your dog before a hunt. I personally don’t feed my Britt before hunting but have also heard differences of opinions from other hunters. I was glad to hear that a small about of dry kibble and Gatorade is fine. Years ago, I had experienced a frightening situation after a grouse and woodcock hunt when my Brittany started to shake in a seizure and was glassy eyed. I quickly learned from other hunters that he was hypoglycemic and to immediately get sugar in him! Fortunately I had some soft caramel candy(“Cow Tail”) that dramatically improved my dog’s condition. After placing the white sugar in his mouth, my dog suddenly started licking and recovered without any complications. This is something that all bird dog owners should educated about. I never want to experience this again. I’ve heard that some hunters stay prepared by carrying sugar packets, honey capsules and even cake icing in their vest. Best regards, Paul Hallberg, aka “outdoorman43”

Great podcast! Talks about all things upland hunting! The anticipation is building up can’t wait for the podcast review of the first hunt of the season. I’ve became addicted to the game of upland, got my first GSP last season a 6 year old girl. We spent HALF the season hunting Montana (we got her late October). Now in idaho and we’re gonna hit the ground running shooting for all 9 native species of Idaho this season plus with some bonus California quail. Surprisingly the area withholds a great population with an amazing hatch this year. Hoping for the great season for you guys! And hopefully a lot less birds stolen from Hannah the hunter ! 😂

Had to stop listening, even though this was one of my favorite podcasts and I looked forward to listening all off season while walking the dogs. Consistently spot dropping, encouraging crowding, and it’s only getting worse. One episode, Tyler Webster all but gave GPS coordinates on where to hunt, won’t harm him at all since he’s got a lot of private land opportunities. However, concentrating/encouraging everyone else to “hot spots” is shameful. If you wanna be told exactly where to hunt without having the joy and experience of putting your boots on the ground and doing it yourself… this is the podcast for you now.
