Music History · Caleb The Spy
by Caleb The Spy
Over the last couple years I have documented the released date of thousands of albums and every day on social media I post about those albums. I call these album anniversaries. I have had a couple different formats on this show but, this podcast is a chance to take a closer look at some of the albums on my calendar. I'm a fan of all genres but tend to focus on ska, punk, and alternative rock, and a variety of Christian (CCM) music albums. Original chickadee painting by my daughter.

Love the podcast! I just listened to the Blue Belly Sky episode, one of my favorite records. Josh mentioned that The Waiting did not have a lot of radio play, but growing up in the Chicagoland area they were one of the most played bands on our CHR station, along with another lesser known band Satellite Soul. The Waiting had 5 singles from BBS in heavy rotation, which is how I came to love them. At the time I thought they were as big as DC Talk or Jars of Clay because they were played as much. Great to hear reviews of great records.
I love a podcast like this that highlights obscure gems in music, especially many of the early Christian alternative/indie/hardcore acts I love. Now do Blindside!
Interesting way of approaching a music podcast, and liking how the format drives variety of albums reviewed. Except for that episode about Rancid…
