I discovered this podcast at the end of 2024 while looking for something fun and entertaining to listen to at work. Since then, I’ve listened to almost all 300 episodes currently available and haven’t been disappointed once. The host and co-hosts do a great job of having in-depth discussions while keeping things light and funny. I know others have mentioned that they swear a lot, but for me, it adds a layer of authenticity and humor that helps make the show great. I love the deep-dive episodes on some of my favorite anime, as well as all the casual and fun ones. I’m grateful for the episodes that help get me through boring or difficult days at work. The backlog of episodes and wide range of topics is not only impressive but also much appreciated. I never knew I needed to hear about an anime fantasy football draft or the best shoes in anime—but I’m sure glad I did. Special shoutout to Colton for the anime news and to Brennan for talking about a lot of underrated anime such as Mushi-Shi and Psycho-Pass. Lastly, shoutout to Jordan for taking awesome notes that guide us through episodes in chronological order and help listeners relive some memorable anime moments. Thank you to the Casual Anime Fanatics for making my favorite podcast!
I found this podcast a few months ago and kept up with all their week by week coverage for jjk and solo leveling when those finished I literally went all the way back to ep 1 and listened to every ep since, even for the shows I didn’t watch and now that I’m caught up again it’s time to restart AGAIN. Y’all are goated!
I recently stumbled upon this podcast while trying to find an anime podcast that doesn’t have insufferable hosts (hard to find in the anime community). I’m glad I found this one. The guys are knowledgeable and entertaining and I love the news portion at the beginning. You can tell that they not only care about the material but that they do a lot of work prepping for the recording without it being super dry. I look forward to listening to the back catalog of episodes and the new ones to come.
This is a great podcast! I love hearing different opinions on different animes. If you don’t mind a little cursing and love anime, I highly recommend this.
