A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I have just finished listening to season one of this pod, and can’t wait for the next. I found the series so fresh and forthright — I want to remain on the journey with Ms. Mishkin wherever it takes her. Her critical thinking, humor, and heart lead the way.

Flula Fan · May 2025

I just spent the day binge-listening Shofar SoGood, and I’m honestly so moved by it. She takes a deep, thoughtful dive into her relationship with Judaism, asking questions that are not only meaningful to her, but resonate with anyone, regardless of background. What I love most is that the answers aren’t always clear-cut, but they feel so genuine and accessible. It was a true joy to hear from rabbis and scholars from all walks of Judaism, offering perspectives from across the spectrum. I’m really impressed by her authentic, heartfelt journey, and I can’t wait to hear more. It's such a beautiful and inspiring exploration!

Quique Borrego · Mar 2025

Such a thought-provoking and sensitively-told story of one woman’s pursuit of her Jewish roots and of life’s biggest questions. Loved every moment of this excellent podcast. Congratulations to Kate and everyone on the production team (including Nan!). “Shofar So Good!” is sooooo good.

DaveMcKinn&y · Feb 2025

Kate brings an investigative lens to the modern perspective of religion. Growing up as a secular Jew I can relate to the cultural struggle of Judaism in our current age. Thank you Kate, you got me thinking.
