Martin continues to broadcast the best line up of guests to discuss current events and historic cases. I have been listening to him for ten years, and he remains both sober and hopeful about the subject

Martin has been at this for ages and his show is one of the first that hooked me when podcasts were newish. The host isn’t necessarily steeped in research but he’s had his own experiences and has a sincere interest in the topic. Regularly has thought-provoking guests.

Martin hosts an inquisitive, intelligent, approach that’s free from dramatic assumptions. His hosting is the right amount of curiosity and skepticism that’s integral to a scientific inquiry that makes his show arguably the best one out there. Editing for commercials needs some work since the breaks are abrupt, unexpected, and somewhat jarring. Small price to pay for the high quality show.

I like Martin’s style and the empathy shown to his guests. He shows a questing spirit when presented with ideas & stories outside conventional understanding but retains his humanity through it all. He is learning about all of this and seeking understanding…as we all are.

The short version - Martin Willis somehow manages to get some really great guests to appear, but unfortunately the quality of his guests never equates to great interviews. 1. He never prepares for his guests by reading their books or doing competent interview preparation. 2. Martin never questions the legitimacy of his guest’s claims and fails to follow up when credibility issues arise in their conversation. 3. On several occasions, he was not even confident that his guests would turn up for a scheduled appearance, and freely admitted that in his broadcast. Why would you admit your own incompetence to your audience? Where was the pre-show effort to ensure that his guest was confirmed? 4. He frequently leaves his gaffs and blunders in the show, rather than edit them out, which is a waste of time and very inconsiderate of his audience. Even if the radio show is live, the podcast could be significantly better by just editing out the irrelevant and insignificant comments and errors made throughout. 5. His technical skills are atrocious, and rather than get help to improve the show, he blunders through, which also wastes time and shows how ill prepared he is prior to show recording. 6. Interview questions are often arbitrary and ill conceived, rather than well thought out and driving toward a point. The whole show just seems to blindly hop around without focus. 7. Martin never terminates the show with a good summation and wrap up. He very abruptly and unexpectedly just thanks the guest and terminates the interview in a single sentence. Very strange and again it highlights his lack of experience and skill as an interviewer. Hats off to Martin for his ability to lure decent talent to appear on his show. It’s hard to believe he’s been able to continue to convince those people who are in demand in the UFO/UAP community to appear on his show in spite of himself. As others have pointed out, they had hoped that as time passed, Martin would gain experience and the show would improve. C’mon, Martin, grab a bat and get in the game… Postscript Listen to Episode 544 from 58:00 to 1:01:00. This sums up everything, from his sophomoric questions at a high school level to his microphone failure, where he asks his guests to carry on while he goes off to fetch another microphone… Yes, equipment fails, but Martin fails to prepare or prevent problems and he is plagued by technical problems constantly. Simple question - when he knows technical difficulties WILL occur, why wouldn’t he have a spare mic ready to go at his desk, rather than leave his guests alone, fumbling to fill in while he goes “who knows where” to find another mic? That issue exemplifies Martin’s approach to his whole show. “Book the guests and hope for the best!”

I’ve listened to this podcast for years, and it never improves. Martin Willis seems a nice enough guy, but he is a poor interviewer. He is seldom if ever prepared (ie doesn’t read books by the guests or do research) and fails to ask follow up questions-in fact, he often can’t recall their most recent comments. So good guests go to waste. And they arnt all good-some have 0 credibility. The show is also constantly plagued by technical difficulties. The secondary show of short historical stories, done by a different person, is excellent. I do appreciate the lack of commercials. Overall while the topic is interesting, don’t know how this show continues but apparently the bar is pretty low in this genre.
