This podcast is dedicated to the study of the magnificent book of Orchos Tzaddikim [Ways of the Righteous], the teaching of classic Jewish Mussar (ethical) work with a practical path to becoming a true righteous person. Its core message is simple: true righteousness is not achieved through knowledge alone, but through constant, deliberate refinement of one’s personal character traits (Middot). This book, written anonymously, systematically guides us through dozens of “gates” (chapters), each focusing on a specific trait — such as arrogance, humility, anger, jealousy, truth, speech, repentance, and many others. The overarching idea is that a person must actively work on themselves in every area of character. Only through this ongoing inner work does one become a genuine servant of God, capable of living with integrity, closeness to Hashem, and moral excellence. In short this book helps us become righteous by mastering our character, one trait at a time.
