Our curated selection of reviews
I usually do other things while listening to podcasts but with this one I’ve found myself so engrossed that I stop what I’m doing without realizing it. As the thread brings us closer to present day, the players and the chessboard really come into focus. Unlike a couple of other reviews, I actually like the sound effects and corny inserts. They add some levity. Looking forward to the next one where Obama comes into the scene.

This is the kind of journalism we need—not sensational in the least and impeccably researched and produced. The access these guys managed to get is wild. Master Plan really does us a great service in unmasking the nebulous “powers that be” that aimed (and succeeded) in turning our government into a legally substantiated oligarchy. Understanding how we got here is critical to changing our trajectory. Excellent work, you’ve got a subscriber in me and I will share Master Plan with anyone that will listen!!

There are many voice recordings from interviews and the like and they are always at a significantly lower volume than the hosts commentary. When I listen I am constantly turning the volume up when a voice recording is played, only to have to turn it back down again when the host starts talking. Its a very good show with great subject matter and content but the volume changing is gonna drive me loco.

Sirota returns to his roots as an investigative reporter and uncovers kind of what we all know - the plot to legalize corruption, half a century in the making. It’s a fascinating lesson, a ton of major linchpins in their plan, and you learn the calculus the Master Planners take, the opportunities they seize. My favorite episode is #6 on John McCain, whose politics I hate, but I always respected his imprisonment in Vietnam. I learned the major risks he took fighting Rs and Ds in Congress. The balls on him.
It’s the most important story in a generation, probably more. Fingers crossed this reporting will bring down some of the titans of corruption. The Lever’s newsroom is one of the handful of actual reporters left. The only other one I follow is Democracy Now.
