As a retired college police instructor this is the best organized class I have ever attended. I have learned so much that I am overwhelmed as to where to begin. I have always been an avid Bible reader. However, even with a better than most folks biblical knowledge, my spiritual knowledge was similar to watching a good movie on. small black and white TV. After going through this class my spiritual experience is more like watching the best movie ever made on a best big screen TV with the highest resolution ever. Almost everything makes sense to me now. As I read passages now it is almost like being there watching things happen. To say that reading scripture is much more clear and meaningful is a huge understatement. I highly recommend Tom Bradford’s Torah Class.
Tom has been my teacher for several years now. He is intellectually honest, if he gives you a speculation, he is sure to tell you that is what he’s doing, I trust him. He goes deep into the context of each book, and brings the Scriptures alive with relevant historical context as well. He doesn’t ” spiritualize” which for me is safe ground in staying true to God’s intended meaning, therefore not being led astray by the doctrines of men. I have listened to every teaching he has given, and I am always excited to hear the next one. He has mined elements of biblical truth, which he backs with Scripture and history, I could never have discovered on my own. Thank you Tom! God bless you for the incredible amount of work you have put into your classes and your faithfulness to our Father.
Tom Bradford does an amazing job of restoring much of the Hebrew context and meaning to the Bible. I now rightly realize that the New Testament speaks only through the context and foundation of the Old Testament, the Torah specifically. Tom is doing a wonderful job of dispelling the false doctrine of lawlessness (Torah-lessness) that has pervaded the church over these past 2000 years.
I discovered the Torah Class after becoming more familiar with a friend who is a Messianic Jew. In my hunger to learn and understand more of what he was sharing with me. Praise God for the Torah Class. I had read the Torah but still struggled with much! So I started the Torah again, this time following Tom Bradford‘a teaching. I podcast as I walk or drive. I have now finished Leviticus (I love this book) and on to Numbers! I was raised Lutheran but didn’t understand much. I currently attend a Bible teaching church and love the teaching there but I was needing even deeper teaching. Torah Class meets my hunger and I have grown to really appreciate and love God for who He is!
The intro episode really intrigued me but after a couple hours listening I don’t think I’ve learned anything, the lecturer gives a very surface level reading of the verses and doesn’t offer much interpretation, in fact being very self assured about his literalist interpretation. I’ll keep looking for a podcast that offers more backstory on what the Hebrew meant, so far the only etymology he’s gone into is “Sunday is about sun worship”, how illuminating...
