Young pastor leaving my first ever rating and review to beg for more seasons. The first season has supercharged my ministry more than any other resource I’ve ever encountered. I’ve listened to the Joby interview episode at least 5 times and learn new things each time. I have also had more people in my church (staff and volunteers) reference the Resurge podcast to me than any other podcast out there. Bring us season 2!!
This series is a treasure trove for those who love biblical truth and want to courageously share it with an ever-changing culture. This is a priceless gift to pastors from pastors. Rich with wisdom! I hope you will produce more episodes.
In a world where many pastors are afraid to hit tough topics, I appreciate the heart behind this podcast. The time for vague stances, unclear beliefs and being afraid to teach what the Bible says is over. I believe a new day for the church is rising. Those preaching bold, unapologetic, passionate and grace filled messages will be the church leaders we all look to in the decades to come.
Unfortunately, I’m the guy that never subscribed, rated, or reviewed. After listening to 15 episodes, this is my review to attempt to make up for that. Resurge is a transformative journey from the moment you press play. Hosted by the dynamic Pastor Josh² duo—yes, two Pastor Joshes teaming up—this podcast refuses to settle for surface-level chatter. Instead, Resurge dives headlong into the toughest topics facing Christian leaders today, bringing both biblical rigor and heartfelt clarity in the midst of a culture that isn’t fond of Christians. 1. Courageously Confronting the Hard Stuff Too often, church conversations skirt around pain points; Resurge leaps right in. Whether it’s racial reconciliation, mental health under ministry pressure, or navigating the minefields of today’s culture wars, Pastor Josh¹ and Pastor Josh² model what it looks like to ask the hard questions, listen deeply, and speak grace-filled truth. Their humility in wrestling with complexity is both refreshing and empowering. 2. Scripture as the Unshakable Foundation One thing that sets Resurge apart is its unwavering commitment to God’s Word. Expect sermon sparks and small-group discussion prompts directly from the text. 3. Authenticity That Builds Trust There’s a warm, “let’s grab coffee” vibe whenever Pastor Josh² step behind the mic. They share personal wins and face-plants, modeling honesty by admitting blind spots and inviting listeners into the learning process. Their genuine banter—equal parts humor and heart—keeps you engaged and encouraged, making you feel like a fellow pilgrim alongside two pastors who truly understand the journey. 4. Tangible Takeaways for Your Next Step Resurge doesn’t leave you hanging. Each episode techniques for personal growth or team discussions, leadership challenges such as “try this in your next staff meeting,” In sum, if you’re looking for a podcast that marries unflinching honesty with deep biblical grounding—hosted by the incomparable Pastor Josh²—look no further than Resurge. It will challenge your assumptions, sharpen your leadership, and breathe fresh life into your soul. Don’t do what I did - listen to 15 episodes, feel guilty and then subscribe and review. Subscribe and review now and get ready to rise up stronger, wiser, and more anchored than ever before.
Living in a blue state, I can say that the content in these podcasts is exactly what churches in states like mine need to hear. I have seen the churches in my area practice quietism on social issues in the name of protecting evangelism for over 30 years. The result has been team Satan gaining ground and the Church shrinking. This podcast is giving me the information I need to persuade my pastors to discern and apply Biblical principles to modern 2025 America. Thank you for your courage and for taking the stands you have in weighing into these controversial topics!
