They’re not just going deep into our favorite storylines or characters but adding the philosophy and psychological implications that most podcasts don’t. Breaking down characters like Thanos, Superman, Aquaman and more for our enjoyment. Story Geeks is a must listen!

The Story Geeks take “popcorn” and turn it into a meaty discussion. They pull out underlying themes and questions that exist in geekery that I never would have even considered. They discuss topics that are fun, relevant, outrageous, or heavy with tact, respect, and best of all, humor and levity. Keep up the good work, Geeks!

There are a lot of shows and podcasts out there that review geeky stories; there are very few out there that dig deeper into those stories to explore what they can tell us about life, the universe, and everything. I love how the Story Geeks are able to bring a variety of perspectives about the world together to ask big questions through fantasy, scifi, and comic book movies.

I love this podcast. Jay and Daryl are so funny and thoughtful, and have such interesting guests with so many conflicting perspectives, and yet everyone has fun and respects each others’ take. It’s amazing how these guys can see this deeper level to even “light” superhero movies. Listening is like having a conversation at dinner with smart, geeky friends after watching a blockbuster - they end up talking about this deep stuff (world views, right and wrong, politics, spiritual perspectives, etc.) without insulting anybody and having a lot of fun. You just walk away feeling good. I recommend it to all my fellow geeks and deep thinkers!
