Genius Bar - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I generally don’t consume podcasts but I enjoy the ramblings of John and Sam so much that I make it a point to tune in and look forward to when a new podcast episode drops.

Beyond their sometimes unique takes on apple news I really enjoy their chemistry and they have humanized content creators in general. Keep up the great work guys!

I love when they have guests on the dhow, Luke Maini is great! I hope you continue to bring folks on the show… it’s just a matter of time before you get German on as a guest :)

This podcast is very fun and I listen to it every time they release a new episode. It is very funny when John and Sam get into fights and than they say they are joking around. I also like when they have guests on or answer peoples questions. Thank you John and Sam!

I absolutely love listening to Genius Bar. It’s the best part about my week. It always gives me a good laugh just when I need it the most. I admire all the time work you put into this podcast. I’ve always wanted to start my own. But never had the time to. So thank you so much for commitment. It means a lot.

P.S. I am not a fan of iPads, Great hardware, but iPadOS needs to be more like macOS

The lighthearted, yet informative, approach is a rarity among the tech podcast universe, making Genius Bar an immediate favorite. However, after nearly a year of never missing an episode, I have sadly unfollowed and stopped listening. The excessive screaming from both hosts was irritating from the start, but the tipping point for me was the borderline narcissistic behavior exhibited by one of the hosts in particular. He constantly sought validation for his contributions to the tech community, and if he did not receive the recognition he believed he was entitled to, he launched into whiny rants, derailing the episode and making himself the subject. For these reasons, I had to unfollow.

Sam’s perpetually a victim of being called out for essentially reposting other more established leakers’ or websites’ journalism, and Jon’s chronically yelling. There’s been a severe drought of interesting Apple product tech news and their podcast shows it by them stretching 15-20 minutes of news/content into an hour for what’s clearly for the placement of ads.
