General Meeting with Becky Sloviter

by Becky Sloviter

Hollywood, but make it real. Warm, authentic conversations with the people who make the stuff we love — and the friends I’ve been lucky enough to make along the way. I’ve spent the past 20 years as a Hollywood producer having what’s known as “general meetings” — one-on-one sit-downs with actors, writers, and filmmakers. These personal and creative conversations have always been my favorite part of the job — the moments when the glossy version of Hollywood drops away and you connect with the real person across from you. So now, I’m bringing that to life as a podcast. Each week on General Meeting with Becky Sloviter, I sit down with smart, funny, and talented friends — actors and writers who have made us laugh and cry, and filmmakers who inspire us — for real conversations about creativity, connection, and everything in between. My hope is that these chats will help us all feel a little more connected — and a little less alone. Because we’re all going through it these days — but as the iconic Penny Lane says in my third favorite movie of all time: “Famous people are just more interesting.” Welcome to General Meeting with Becky Sloviter.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

GENERAL MEETING is the kind of hangout that feels like Billy Wilder returned to get some ragged podcasts about Hollywood into shape! Breezy, ebullient, and evanescent, Becky wisecracks with the effortless charm of Rosalind Russell on His Girl Friday. A smartly superior producer and executive, Becky is the rare insider who is both genuinely smart and delightfully relaxed. Listening feels like sitting on backlot golf cart while the crew shoots The Apartment. Hollywood would be a whole lot better if Becky ran a studio but this is a solid proxy!

Soulroses · Dec 2025

Such an awesomely binge-worthy podcast. Becky is so relatable and her guests always strike the perfect balance between vulnerable authenticity and dishing celebrity BTS you won’t hear anywhere else. A true gem of a show.

AlexisLunaKarma · Nov 2025

Love the energy! So nice to hear the female energy and hear such interesting and honest interviews! Was super excited to add this show to my line up!

Tinker in LA · Oct 2025

Becky is such a natural interviewer and story teller. Funny and inviting, she draws out the best from each of her guests, drawing you in to their courageous and uplifting stories about being in “the biz” —for me, it really played a role in humanizing the people in the world of show business and shows a side that we wouldn’t have access to otherwise. Becky is clearly a brilliant woman and I just love listening to this podcast.
