I am a huge fan of fish of the week! I always learn something new and it’s a huge inspiration to stay informed and connected to everything the US fish and wildlife service does. I shared this with my cousin and it inspired her to pursue aquatic biology in graduate school - thanks to the amazing hosts of the podcast. If you guys ever decide to crowdfund your podcast please announce it! The fans are eager to hear more about the wonders of fish.
I love the different guests you pull in and their passion, and the hosts’, for the fish! And I appreciate the diversity of fish highlighted, from angler focused to ecological roles, conservation stories and human stories. Great work USFW team! I love it!!
I am not especially into fish, but I really enjoy this podcast because I love listening to people share their niche passions. It’s short and sweet, and I always learn a fun fact or two.
I love this podcast. In some ways it reminds me of the classic NPR program Car Talk. Tom and Ray were entertaining to listen to, but they also educated their listeners. Katrina and Guy, along with their guests, provide a folksy fun to listen to podcast. But they also deliver some extremely in-depth knowledge of Alaska fishes. They also balance the ethos of conservation with recommended ways to prepare and cook some species of fish. Brought to you by “Dewey,Cheatam and How” and “ Master Bait and Tackle”
