Discovering Dad - Podcast Rankings and reviews

We listened to the first ep on a road trip and my kids (6 and 9) were begging for more episodes! They are totally hooked. Can’t wait for more adventure!

The story going on here is pretty great and very intriguing. However, my one criticism of the show would be the main character. A lot of GZM Shows’ female characters feel very similar, either that kind of sassy, I-can-do-stuff-on-my-own kinda trope, or they’re the goofy sidekick. It gets a little repetitive. While they do feel like different characters, they’re just all very similar, and I think there could be a broadening of female character personalities in the future. Anyway, other than that, the show is pretty great. GZM shows still going strong.

I love this podcast :)
but, as a frequenter of GZM shows’s podcasts, I’m a little disappointed.

Honestly, it feels like they’re focusing all their efforts on Six Minutes and nothing else. Don’t get me wrong, I love SM, but I want more of OTHER pods, too. I want season 4 of Mars Patel and Season 2 Discovering Dad.
Plus, it doesn’t feel like the story is over. UDoMP (the Unexplainable Disappearance of Mars Patel) and DD (Discovering Dad) deserve more. Maybe this review would be a full five stars if there was more, is all I’m saying. And I think a lot of people agree.

(and, yes, UDoMP and DD are my favorites (well, along with the Natureverse).)

I discovered this podcast while browsing for something new to listen to. It’s now one of my favorite podcasts. I can’t wait to listen to it. The voice acting is terrific and the story has me hooked. The foley makes me feel like I’m tuned into an old time radio show. I just love it.
