My 4 and 6 year old and I love listening to this podcast in the morning. Our favorite episode so far was the one on the Black-Capped Chickadee and the kids were so excited to tell my husband about how the bird says its name and adds extra “dees” if in danger. We’re not exactly birders, but we’ve learned a lot and it really helps us tune in to the birds we encounter throughout the day!
PS: The audio quality is excellent and NPR should hire the hosts.

This podcast is really helpful and informative. I love how each episode focuses on one bird, and provides not only the sound piece but also tidbits that help you get to know that bird’s personality. The hosts are easygoing, making it very relaxing to listen to. Keep the episodes coming!

I’m a beginner as a birder, and I found this during a search. It’s terrific! With lots of great information. The funny thing was that as I was listening to the song sparrow with my AirPods, I was aware that near me, a bird was singing the same song! Keep up the great work.
