Excellent supplementary study for mcat! Professor H. is a godsend. Her review has helped me solidify majority of the science I rolled my eyes at during undergrad and connects it to A&P in a palatable way. Her subtle humor is also some of the finest on the airwaves.

Loved !! I learned they are also the major tissues in glands. Epithelial tissues have a variety of functions, including providing physical protection, controlling the permeability of the surface that they line, provide sensation, and produce specialized secretions depending on their location.

In this episode I learned there is both yellow and red bone marrow that each serve a different purpose. “Yellow symbolizes fat and contains stem cells that can become cartilage fat or bone cells. Red bone marrow is a source of healthy baby blood cells, people with certain types of blood cancer, like leukemia, benefit from people who donate their healthy bone marrow.
