Nothing makes me smile like this show, recently. The hosts have fantastic chemistry and their passion for language is contagious. Their approach is inclusive, utilitarian, and curious. No pedants here! I’m now describing it as the Car Talk for language lovers. It’s just DELIGHTFUL. If only it came out more frequently…

Not only is this podcast a personal fav, I also force my classes of high school students to listen to various episodes thanks to the trio’s clean and humorous approach to podcasting. High level epistemologies are broken down clearly and widespread misnomers are clarified through a laugh-along convo. Def worth every penny of this free subscription!

My career in communications & marketing made me sensitive to clear, concise language use. YSIW is both informative and entertaining and I especially love listening to Kathy laugh!

This podcast is splendidly written, read, researched and put together. Fletcher, Kathy, and Ross have extremely pleasant voices and one never minds hearing them chatter. Reminds me of the best of classic radio (including, of course, Car Talk). Keep doing this and hurray for public radio in the Internet era. Thank you.
