Thoughtful and gently provocative, Scott puts the guests at ease about faith and belief, he aims for love and gets me there reliably. It’s a great relief to see each new episode in these troubled times.

I loved this interview for so many reasons.
Not only has Bob Costas’ voyage through life been fascinating but the format of this podcast allows Carter and Costas to have deep conversations about the most important parts of their ( and our) lives.
I would not describe myself as a religious man but I had a mother who really loved the church she attended and I was hugely grateful for the comfort it brought her at the end of her life.
The conversations on this podcast are about trying to discover how each of us can discover a moral path that can truly enrich our lives.
I can’t think of any other program in which these issues are addressed and it’s a gift for all of us that Ye Gods does it.

It’s impossible to hear the opening description of Rabbi Brous’s Yom Kippur ceremony without being moved. Her wisdom and radical compassion in a world seemingly bereft of both is a balm to all who feel for the suffering of millions. “Don’t wait to discover your true calling,” she says. “Recognize it and answer that call.”

The most recent episode with Rabbi Sharon Brous is incredibly moving, compassionate and inspirational. Especially in these current times, it is reassuring to know there are influential leaders that are showing the way with a message of kindness and uplift. Refreshing to hear.

I think the marketing around this podcast was a bit misleading. Heard this new podcast from another NPR podcast and the title intrigued me as someone interested in anthropological-type podcasts and good philosophical debate. This wasn’t that for me - tuned into half of the first episode and it felt way more celebrity interview in which only a few questions touched on religion. I didn’t know the guest personally so maybe I’m not the target audience and other listeners would love this!
