Great hosts/interviewer. I was immediately hooked in episode #259 (interview with Matt Brennan), once they touch upon the historic, symbolic nature of the drum in both “slavery” and “conquest” and how the drum was linked pejoratively to subhuman culture.
Ringo Starr and the Ludwig decal on his bass drum... the brief discussion about the cowbell and a reference to Blue Öyster Cult... the relationship between drummer and manufacturer....all great and valuable info.
What’s great is I listened to your episode right on top of a Drumming History (history of the trap set) podcast, so your episode fell serendipitously in line with this one.
I’m really looking forward to other episodes.

This podcast consistently knocks it out. Always learning something from the conversations, I really appreciate how the hosts are prepared and have insightful questions. It’s genuine and gives a perspective of what it’s really like to work as a drummer, build a career and even the tradeoffs folks make in their careers.
Thank you!!
