Love this narrator: her voice, gentle humor, sound effects that genuinely make me jump and her choice of stories. I’m an Anglophile and a lifelong ghost story lover, so this podcast (along with Uncanny) really scratches my paranormal itch 👻

This strikes just the right balance between historical and supernatural. Very carefully researched and produced. Not the typical Wikipedia research regurgitated on lazier podcasts. So glad I stumbled on this podcast!

Beautiful story telling, a true artist at work here! Perfect blend between spooky and history, my new favorite podcast to listen to while walking the dogs and, weirdly, as I fall asleep. Nat’s voice is just that nice I suppose?! So happy to have been introduced to Weird In The Wade by another one of my faves, Southern Gothic. The host, Brandon Schexneider (spelling?) gave Weird In The Wade the highest praise and I fully agree.

This podcast is interesting in that it addresses actual history more than folklore, but still feels very much like its focus is folklore. The narrator writes engaging dramatizations to bring the actual events to life and explores the lore that results from the tellings and interpretations of real events. The result is a delightful podcast that intersects history of a specific area with folklore.
