I love this podcast so much - a voice made for podcasting and such a well-researched and interesting Christmas lore podcast. I’m a horror fan AND a major Christmas fan, and I’ve learned so much from all of the awesome different episodes! There’s a Krampus episode now, but I appreciated when he said he wouldn’t ever do one because there’s so many other WEIRDER things out there! I’m a total Yule Boy fan now.

Stumbled upon this podcast and couldn’t be happier. I’ve been obsessed with all Christmas history since childhood, and I devoured 4 episodes in one day after discovering this gem. Perfect for all winter holiday geeks. Even turned a fellow Christmas nerd onto it at the christkindlmarket Chicago, after striking up a conversation over the terrifying, handmade Krampus mask he had in his booth. Thank you for this amazing listen!

...dude. I generally enjoy this podcast enough to give it a solid four, but I just had to stop listening. It’s a Christmas podcast. Talking about weird food traditions is great, but talking about skinning the faces of assorted animals, then torturing a bird to make it appear cooked but still alive, then sewing a turkey to the bottom of a pig a la Human Centipede...I enjoy learning about strange history, true crime, and I occasionally eat meat, but laughing jovially about animal cruelty is rough. No need to get that into the weeds, right? No one - NO ONE - comes to a Christmas podcast looking for that.

Lots of interesting info, engagingly delivered. Perfect for people who love Christmas but have dark (or just weird, as the name suggests) sensibilities.
