If you still haven’t listened to We’re alive..you’re missing out! I have listened to this podcast DOZENS of times since I found it in 2017 and it never gets old! It’s a cinematic masterpiece for your ears! The emotion, the dialogue, the plot twists…nothing beats this! Hands down my favorite podcast to ever be made! I would totally watch a tv series of this if they made it!!

The first season was so incredibly good it deserves 20 stars. I’ve listened to it so many times that I’ve pretty much memorized it. I didn’t think I would like Lockdown because I wanted a continuation of the first season and I didn’t see how a show about a bunch of criminals trapped in jail during the outbreak could be interesting. Well- I was wrong and Lockdown was amazing and deserves 20 stars as well. Multiple play throughs also.
The things that made those two seasons so good were 1- Great characters so well written that I came to care about what happened to them. At one point I even shed tears, which has never happened with any other podcast I’ve listened to. 2- Moments of narration to explain what’s going on. The very beginning of We’re Alive illustrates perfectly how important narration is! 3- Many unexpected twists and turns in both seasons. 4- The acting was really good and any acting that wasn’t great in the beginning improved as the show went on. Also, I could easily tell the difference between different characters. This is not the case with later seasons. I also appreciated the evolution of certain characters. 5- Satisfying conclusions. Endings don’t have to be happy necessarily in order to be good. Both season one and two ended in a way that pleased me very much and satisfied many of my expectations.
The rest of the seasons I have listened to once and that was enough. I can’t get into Descendants at all and it makes me sad that this is the case with the final installment of a show that I love so much.

Although I listen to hours of podcasts everyday, this is the first time I’ve ever written a review on this app. The writing and voice acting in this show is SO. GOOD. I’m absolutely impressed on how all the characters personalities really developed, and the humor sprinkled in is just perfect. Datu was my favorite— A+++ on all these castings. Took me a while to finish binging 7 years of recordings in just a few weeks but wow, thoroughly impressed. This season could completely be a multi-season show and as someone who had finished Walking Dead, this is top tier.

I revisit the story when the real world is too much to handle. It’s like comfort food for the mind.
