Took a chance and enjoyed it a lot. The writing and acting for Brooklyn’s character (played by the author) are evocative, fresh, believable and spot-on in tone. The script was enlivened by similes and metaphors that conveyed a vivid sense of the setting and the protagonists’ complex feelings.
WRT the ensemble cast, some of the acting was excellent, some less so (even cringy at times, but they were portraying cringy characters). Overlooking those unfortunate moments, overall this is an enjoyable modern spin on the classic Agatha Christie “strangers brought together in a remote mansion and someone gets killed” trope. Greta Craig shows great promise; I look forward to more of her work.

Couldn’t get through even the second episode - the foreshadowing is heavy-handed, the dialogue is unrealistic, and the acting is really poor. The narration was really enjoyable, but it made the terrible dialogue stand out even more. I can tell that the showwriter was trying to develop characters before they got into any of the plot, but the pacing just dragged, and none of the characters are people I would want to get to know better anyway.
