What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

The interviews on this podcast are top notch. They are so natural and make each episode’s musical guest feel comfortable. This just makes for really interesting behind the scenes stories for VBM albums that I have loved for so many years. A+ podcast...I look forward to each and every episode.

Every episode of this podcast has been really enjoyable so far. Very fun to hear the history and trivia of artists that may have never had their chance to tell their story on a platform such as this. Joey is a fantastic host. as somebody who was involved with many of the artists he interviews, He often brings personal interactions and story’s to the interviews that you wouldn’t get from anybody else. Overall, this is a great podcast. Definitely check it out if you’re into any of these artists!

WillNotThrilled · Sep 2020

One of my great recurring regrets is that when it comes to music, I am usually late to the party. I have been aware of VBM for almost 2 decades but only in the last 2 or 3 years have I really begun to pay attention. As a result I have come across some fantastic bands after they split, some artists that have since stopped recording, or artists/bands that are still plugging along releasing great records. This podcast has been a treasure. Joeys interviews are perfect. He knows how to perfectly engage each artist he speaks with. They never go on too long, indeed I am always wishing the interview could go on a little longer. Ultimately, it helps fill in some of the blanks of the artists chronology and adds to my love of the label and it’s roster even more so. I look forward to each new episode, as there are still many groups out there that I haven’t yet explored. Thanks to all for putting this together!

So many years and so many bands. It’s great learning more about the history and the behind the scenes of this incredible label. Well produced and structured. Keep up the awesome work!
