Great podcast! Love that it highlights missing person cases and gives them the second chance they deserve. Thanks for sending me, Payne!

Up and Vanished Season One (the case on Tara Grinstead) was one of the first true crime podcasts I listened to, and I have been hooked ever since. Payne is a dedicated investigator who isn’t afraid to ruffle feathers to find the truth and we now have Maggie to bring a new voice into the mix! I listen to and love everything this podcast offers, especially the fact that it’s weekly now! Keep doing a great job Tenderfoot TV and thanks Payne for sending this my way!

Maggie sent me for a chance to be featured — I’m really enjoying how this podcast blends storytelling with opinions and discussions. I feel like the reactions are very relatable. I love hearing Maggie and Payne together, too. Two of my favorite voices in True Crime. Maggie, I’ve got to know more about your Murder in Alliance journey. How did you deal/cope with how it all ended??? I am still reeling and don’t know what to think anymore. I just feel so bad for Sue… Thanks for all your work!

I was an original, day one, Payne listener and fan. So, I was curious how the weekly UV show would go. And, I must say that I really love and appreciate Maggie’s journalistic style. I really love and enjoy her edgy thoughtfulness with each and every story. Love it!!!

Please stop trying to be crime junkie. It PAINS me to leave a low review because I have been a long time lister to all things tenderfoot. I hope things can improve because I really want to love this show and think it has great potential. I want this to be seen as constructive feedback and not criticism. The first three episodes cover cases that have recently been covered by other popular true crime pods like crime junkie, rabia and Ellyn solve the case etc. as a true crime fan this was disappointing. I feel like this loses the spirit of Up and Vanished which is covering cases that don’t normally receive attention. I know this show is new but if there are really hundreds of cases that tenderfoot gets alerted to surely we can cover ones that have not already had other major pods and networks covering. Two other points of constructive feedback is that it is difficult when the show has a host, narrator and guest writer. It is hard to follow three voices and POv and feels choppy. Lastly please increase your nuance and education around discussing things like undocumented persons, race, and gender. Offer resources in the show notes like Payne has done for MMIW/MMIP. I think that’s lacking so far and could be improved. Ex understanding why potentially undocumented workers would leave a job site and the mistreatment innocent undocumented folks have faced by the police and immigration (episode 2). Episode 2 felt really shallow and dismissive in this sense. Also this is not hosted by Payne unless you count having a guest that is not Payne and only have Payne read the credits as “hosting”

I mostly love Tenderfoot productions but I’m not liking this one. I think my main gripe is the woman/ women who host it seem giddy to discuss their case at the beginning of every episode. Like fan girls. I stop listening to any podcast that has this tone. I just don’t care for it. I’m not above listening to true crime for entertainment (cmon let’s be real) but I do think it’s inappropriate and unprofessional to be fangirling when talking about your favorite case. I know not everyone is a fan of Payne but I will say he is excellent at telling a story and I find him much more engaging to listen to. Wish he had more to do with this podcast.
