Uncanny Valley is hands down one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. The story is brilliantly crafted, and the main character was so compelling that I found myself genuinely rooting for her and deeply invested in her journey. It reminded me of how people watch shows like *Friends* just to spend time with the characters — that’s how connected I felt. While I initially found Lizzy’s voice a bit off-putting (as mentioned in other reviews), by the middle of the podcast, I realized she was capturing the character’s essence perfectly. The music, sound effects, writing, and overall performances (most of the cast) were exceptional. I can easily see myself coming back to this podcast for another listen.

Interesting story, decent voice acting, and phenomenal sound design. Seriously, the score and interludes alone are worth listening too. They really fit well and enhance the story. Very well done! The story is evocative and told in an interesting way that captures a listener’s attention right away.

One of my favorite podcasts of all time! I have burned through dozens of podcasts and only a few scratch that itch I have for horror and mystery. This one is in my top 5 favorites of all time, sitting with juggernauts of the genre like The White Vault, The Magnus Archives and the like. Truly phenomenal story and production! I am so excited for season 2!

Would easily be a 5 star if it weren’t for how insufferable Izzy is throughout the entire story, besides that the story has a decent amount of depth and some likable characters. Would recommend with a warning

The PREMISE was good. Girl moves far away from her problems, encounters other problems, etc. where this podcast started to lose me was the complete lack of set up (slowly finding out Aubrey being a medium). The acting is ok’ish. Some characters are harder to listen to than others. Then there is Izzy, completely intolerable and sadly ever present. Couldn’t get past her and only made it halfway into the story because of her.

I got through the second episode and, while I was interested in the story and where it was going, I was not interested enough to be willing to hear another second of Izzy. The voice, the giggle, the stupid jokes…ugh. It was so annoying that it took me right out of the story each time she spoke.
