What an absolute home‑run episode! Right out of the gate, Sean delivered a compelling, well‑paced conversation with Mike Eruzione—his storytelling, his sincerity, his energy—all combine to make this first podcast installment truly memorable.
From the very opening minutes, Sean shows sharp interview instincts: he sets a relaxed, respectful tone, asks just the right questions, and allows Mike to shine without ever coming off as overshadowed. The way they dig into Mike’s journey—from his rise to Captain of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, to the mindset behind that unforgettable “Miracle on Ice” moment—is both inspiring and deeply human.
Mike’s anecdotes about leadership, perseverance, teamwork and belief are gold. And Sean doesn’t just skim the surface—he teases out the lessons and ties them back to real‑life application, making this more than just a “great athlete tells his story” podcast; it’s a masterclass in mindset, resilience, and character.
The production quality is clean, the pacing flows effortlessly, and the chemistry between host and guest feels genuine. You’re not just listening to a podcast—you’re being drawn into a meaningful conversation that stays with you long after the headphones are off.
If you’re looking for a podcast with substance, heart, and real take‑aways, this one hits the mark. Sean’s first episode sets the bar high and establishes the promise of what this show will deliver week after week. Mike’s presence elevates the entire experience, but Sean’s interviewing chops make it a win for everyone listening.
Bravo to both Sean and Mike—knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait for the next one.

I really wanted to love this because the story of the 1980 hockey team is incredible, and Mike Eruzione's message about teamwork and belief resonated. His quote about how 'it wasn't a miracle, it was an accomplishment by a group of people who believed in ourselves and each other' was very inspiring.
However, the audio quality makes this really difficult to listen to. There's constant feedback, and it sounds like it was recorded on a phone at a live event without any post-production editing. You can barely hear the questions being asked, and when audience members speak, the mic feedback is brutal. For a podcast format, this needs a proper introduction and better sound mixing. Consider adding a transcript as well, since the audio makes it difficult to follow.
The content itself is great - the stories, the values, the inspirational moments are all there. It just needs the technical production to match the quality of the message. I'd definitely revisit this if the audio gets cleaned up.
