I started re-listening to U Talkin’ U2 2 Me? and oh boy, it’s still better than any Ted Talk I’ve ever watched or given about U2. Comprehensive? Check. Encyclopedic? Check. Compendium? As far as I can tell, it’s the only compendium that exists in podcast form.
If you don’t mind two hosts named Scott that sound like the same—nay—might be the same person, this is the only podcast you should ever listen to, except for R U Talkin’ REM Re: Me and R U Talking Talking Heads to My Talking Head? Just dive in and stay a while, then when you’re done, listen to it in 8 years and teach the world to sing!

This is one of the better pods dedicated exclusively to reviews of hammers and other construction tools. Recent conversations detailed hammer models and prices in far greater depth than a simple, online search. It would be nice however, to delve deeper into hammer head shapes and materials, as well as handle length and girth.

I just started listening to this season, and for how dumb the show usually is, I wasn’t expecting them to actually have a member of the band on the podcast. Then the interview was one of the best interviews of a musician I’ve ever heard, and Scott was still making some pretty dumb jokes throughout. I also really liked the episode with Tawny Newsome. This show is hilarious, and occasionally, surprisingly informative.

From Candy Boy to Freddie Got Fingered, this is the complete and encyclopedic show of ALL things useless. Thank you, both. As a fan of endless ephemera you had me early, but when you bring on Steven Tobolowsky to discuss weather and call sheets... I knew I had to an Adam Auckerman fanboy for life. I’m sure you hear it too often, but great job. Best wishes.

I’m not even a fan of RHCP but I found the way in which they handled the switch to Talking Heads in episode two to be so contemptuous of the audience. After spending the first episode apologizing and explaining why talking about RHCP would be interesting I let myself believe them and get invested. That was a mistake.

Tuned in to one episode to give the podcast a shot. Discussing the topic didn’t start until 35 minutes in. Prior to that I got plenty of name-droppy goodness about being on a network comedy and appearing on late night talk shows. This is why I prefer podcasts made by everyday people.
