What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Loving the variety of topics and the depth of information. Leaves me with just enough info to decided to turn to the troutbitten website for more or move on to another episode. I also appreciate the reminder that what’s discussed in the podcast is not the only way to do something, just what works for y’all and finally it’s nice to hear the perspective of people who are not always fishing in the west.

This podcast is full of excellent content that is presented by entertaining hosts. These guys cover a wide variety of topics in great detail while also adding a touch of humor. They don’t derail the show with corny humor or over romanticization. If you are looking for a podcast to learn practical, actionable information this is it. I have been fortunate enough to fish with Dom. He is the real deal. Unlike other podcast hosts whom present theirselves as all knowing experts, Dom approaches the water with curiosity and the desire to learn as much as possible on each trip. He is open minded and extremely thoughtful. You can trust that the information presented on this podcast has been thoroughly thought out and tested. If you listen to these guys you will definitely learn the tools to catch more fish. Matt Wilson

Spent a good part of my first 60 years on the golf course. Often times in the late afternoon…just me, my clubs, a few practice balls and the very long shadows as the sun set. As I’ve aged, I realized that golf is a younger man’s game. I can still play, but what used to come easy, now takes more work (if I can do it at all). About three years ago my wife’s cousin introduced me to fly fishing. Man, do I wish I had given it time in my earlier years. The similarities between golf and flyfishing are striking… At least to me. Now, I would much rather spend my time on a stream up in the mountains near my home in Colorado, than spend time on the golf course (tough there's still nothing like beating a drive down the middle or sticking a wedge to within 2 feet of the pin…just doesn’t happen often enough these days). Since I got such a late start, I am working hard to play catch-up and see if I can’t figure out some of the nuances of how to catch more fish. I’m still very far from being even adequate, but I love working at it. Troutbitten has been a real godsend in helping me to appreciate flyfishing and hone my very limited skills. Thanks to all of you on the podcast. Keep up the good work.
