Too Long; Didn't Watch - Podcast Rankings and reviews

This podcast is a delight! Original premise and super fun to listen to it. But what I perhaps enjoy most is how the respect and admiration Alan’s guests have for him, his opinions, and writing shines through. It’s just very satisfying to hear that in a podcast as Alan’s writing has been so enjoyable to me over the years (and he was just such an incredibly nice guy the one time I met him at a book signing). The guests are fantastic and it is super fascinating to hear their insider takes on plot, writing, casting, making a pilot, and sticking (or not) the landing. This podcast is a perfect blend of humor, trivia, and tv criticism.

This show is such a delight. I’ve enjoyed the episodes covering shows I’ve seen just as much as (maybe more than?) those I haven’t. Love that each comes in under an hour and that the guests bring their keen industry expertise in their feedback. Oh please bring us more seasons!

I could listen to Jon Hamm talk about gossip girl for an hundred hours. It’s so fun to hear both Alan and the guests be fans of each other and TV, and the conversations are always interesting and full of mutual respect.

This podcast is a perfect way for listeners to relive their own viewing experiences of the shows they love through a celebrity’s eyes. Also a great way to learn about new shows that they haven’t watched.
