I’ve followed Thor well before he was a regular on Purple Daily, and have listened to all his draft takes for as long as I’ve been paying attention to the draft. Thor is hilarious, insightful, incredibly knowledgeable and yet makes a complex sport and industry accessible. His writing background shines through as he has an incisive and illuminating way of phrasing things that makes him a pleasure to listen to. I’m so excited to get his takes on all things Vikings football now, and hopefully ride the JJ McCarthy train to glory!

I’ve been listening to Thor for several years now. The amount of information and knowledge he has on each college player headed for the draft is unmatched. I love hearing about his knowledge of the game and how each player would/would’t fit within current versions of the teams’ offense and defense. Mark & Zygi… seriously if you’re listening, this guy can help bring young talent to this team!

As a Vikings fan, I appreciate all the smart, knowledgeable reporters and podcasters we have for our team. I bounce between shows, and I appreciate what every person brings to the table. Thor has become a favorite. When I want a thoughtful, non-hyperbolic, well-informed take on anything Vikings related, I look to Thor. He brings the nerd to Purple Daily. I say this with the utmost admiration and respect for him and the other PD fellas. They’ve each got their great personalities and thoughts they add to Vikings conversations, but Thor is a notch above everyone in that his takes seem to be the most informed of almost anyone else in Vikings media. Arif Hasan and Luke Braun, look out. Thor Nystrom has entered the building. Better yet, do a crossover episode. Thor will give you or anyone a run for their money on intelligent Vikings football talk, and his winsome personality just may take the cake as the most likeable podcaster in Vikings world.

He backs his opinions with stats and has fresh takes that are much deeper than other surface level football analysts. A+
