I have been so thankful I found this podcast, his book, and Instagram account. Jon focuses on a brain-based approach to parenting which is what I have been feeling that I need to understand my daughter. I have a very brave 2yo and Jon’s explanations help me understand her so much more! I remember listening to one podcast thinking “I don’t know that I’ll use this” and then the exact scenario came up later with my daughter. I tried Jon’s approach and it worked! No battle! Understanding my daughter more is empowering and incredibly helpful. Jon breaks down complex psychology simple and in a way you can immediately apply. I can’t recommend enough!

I’ve known from a young age that I want to be a less angry and less reactive dad than the one I had growing up. Four and a half years in, and it’s still really really hard. This podcast is one a few resources I find really helpful to keep me grounded in my efforts to do better. What I appreciate most about Jon, though, is his authenticity. His livelihood is based on helping parents break out of conventional and counterproductive methods, yet he regularly acknowledges that he struggles to follow his own advice. This podcast is like a coaching resource and support group all at once.

I love this podcast and Jon’s perspectives on parenting as an opportunity to connect with our children in meaningful ways. I love the idea of “connection, not compliance” as the goal, and compliance ends up coming naturally if we lead with connection.

Thank you so much for this podcast, it has been a life raft for me in the midst of the ups and downs of being a new parent!

After seeing some of Jon’s videos on Facebook, I purchased his book. After reading the book I started listening to this podcast. I love it! He explains everything so clearly and gives great advice for helping us understand why kids do certain things and how to help them navigate through them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Jon!
