I look forward to every episode of both the show and the podcast. The show is amazing, and the podcast makes it even better. The hosts provided smart insights on characters and plot that deepen my understanding of the story and what Mike is writing about. This podcast is like listening to the smart classmates in a lit class, in the best way possible. Highly recommend!

This Podcast makes an already amazing show somehow EVEN better. Of all of the “prestige” television, the White Lotus has been in my top 3 for sure. Listening to the hosts is like talking about it with friends post viewing, but these friends clearly have English Lit degrees (?) and a lot of story telling knowledge. I love the references and the funny and intelligent discussions. So FUN. Looking forward to Season 4. Great job:)

Interviewers asked great questions, discussed points of view I hadn’t considered, and never spoiled the next episode. I loved the bonus with Mike White, and the talk around buddhist themes. This podcast was immensely entertaining, and gave me a whole level of appreciation for a show I already loved. Afterwards I searched Jia Tolentino and downloaded other podcasts she’s appeared on, and I can’t wait to listen to them. PS please take the moderator of Netflix’s The Diplomat under your wing — that podcast is shockingly boring for such a good show.

I think this pod is an enlightening listen and I’ve really enjoyed the guests and hosts’ insights and commentary into the ep, my only complaint is that Jia is talking entirely too much. I do enjoy her POV but after listening to all of the episodes from Season 3, I feel like I have to struggle to hear Josh’s take a lot of the time. He’s been handling this very graciously but it’s getting to the point where it’s a little ridiculous now. The most recent episode I listened to was almost entirely Jia speaking. Jia— please be aware you have a co-host who has a lot of interesting info to add as well.

Cast interviews were interesting, but the constant interjecting of the host’s life story and political views made it insufferable. Focus on the show, not yourselves. The listeners couldn’t care less where you went to college, who you voted for or which character you relate to.

While I did enjoy moments of this podcast, I felt like the focus was way too much on homosexuality. Sure it’s a theme but I feel like it does the show a disservice acting like that’s one of the main aspects. I would have liked to have them actually talk about each episode and the events that happen and deep dive into the characters. Very little of that was on display. Kinda disappointed.
