The Weirdness - Podcast Rankings and reviews

My kids and I recently discovered this podcast and have been burning through episodes on our long commute to school in the mornings. We love the plot and find ourselves laughing out loud at the silliness. Perfect balance of mystery and comedy.

it’s june again, so i’ve come back to this show to celebrate pride. why do these two things go together? because this entire show is about not conforming and not being “normal.” the “i’m weird and i love it” is such a good line, especially as someone who recently came out as transgender. to all other kids like me listening, you are worthy of love. have a wonderful pride ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

this is my own subjective analysis, so feel free to share your own opinions. i can also see “weirdness” as a metaphor for disability/neurodivergence (especially autism, which i myself have)

Love the story, but I dislike the character of Arlo. He’s pretty selfish throughout the story, never listening to Sierra or what she wants to do or say. Every time she tried to tell him who she was, something she told him was important, he’d always interrupt her with some awful speech rather than actually listen to her. And it didn’t feel like he really got any character growth either. But oh well.
I love Beef, so that pretty much makes up for it.

I can’t wait for the first show on November 20th! This show is going to be a family favorite. We love the topics and the dramatic storytelling. My kids say it is like a movie for the mind and I love the talented acting and creativity that has been put into the trailer. And if the other episodes are like your other Audio dramas then you have a winner here!!
