Don’t be put off by the title: it’s tongue in cheek, based on the vitriolic reactions to those activists who are simply seeking safer ways to bike around their communities, and safe routes to school for our kids.
Car culture is ubiquitous. But it also kills, pollutes and isolates us. Almost every episode of this podcast is riveting, with great and informative guests to hopefully open you eyes, make you see our car-covered nation as full of possibility for something better: more choices for ways to get around and between stronger and more life-affirming communities.

For me and many others, our daily enjoyment of life is inversely proportional to how dependent we are in a car. The hosts do a great job of educating us all on how getting out of our cars is good for all of us and how our cities can always do better to make it so

It’s great that someone is tackling the insane car-centric culture of America. A great listen - especially on my work commute by bike! 😄

I loved this show when it started a few years ago. The three hosts shared my interest in sustainable transportation and walkable, bikeable cities. They continue to exhibit those traits, but they’ve added over-the-top progressive political correctness to the mix, degrading their podcast as a result. I first noticed this trend when they had a guest who describes every complaint he disagrees with as a moral panic. While the guest was right about exaggerated reactions to bicycle advocacy, he was completely delusional in denying that free speech is under attack on college campuses. In the most recent episode, the problem became more prominent when they interviewed a self-described “fat cyclist.” While advocacy for bicycling by people of all sizes is commendable, the show became a ridiculous celebration of trendy phrases such as “intergenerational trauma” and “identify as.” Worst of all, the hosts and their guests repeated the nonsensical claim that there is no relationship between obesity and health. While body size and fitness are not perfectly aligned, denial of any link between the two is denial of medical reality. At this point, I’m checking out. I discontinued my Patreon support a few months ago, and I doubt I’ll listen much anymore. This show had so much promise, but the hosts have hitched their wagon to a woker-than-thou agenda that will only serve to alienate part of their audience.
