The Unofficial Companion Show to HBO Max’s Industry | Morgan Stanley Alums Break Down Every Episode - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I’m an Industry show watcher and stumbled onto this podcast. I’m really enjoying the podcast, especially when the hosts talk about how the show’s depiction of the financial industry relates to their own experiences. The hosts enjoy the show and their excitement is apparent. They talk about what’s realistically depicted and what’s not. They also provide a lot of information in great detail about how the finance industry works. I learned about what a “cable trade” is and some of the shorthand terminology that is used in FX trades, for example. The hosts also tell stories about their time working in Wall Street and how that compares with the show. Apparently Eric carrying a baseball bat around the trading floor is a common thing for MDs to do! I think any fan of the show who’s also interested in how the financial industry works in the real world would enjoy this podcast.

Learned about this podcast from their main WSS podcast and love this one! Such a fun way to learn about the business world while also enjoying great TV. I started rewatching Industry after listening to this pod and understand 3x more references. Jen and Kristen’s dynamics are great!

Finally, a podcast that shares my obsession! For a show that does not give much context to their financial plot lines, the hosts do a great job giving their POV while expanding on the finance related topics / terms that tbh, I would have never known or even bother to learn after the fact. It’s concise, fun, and informative. Enough of both without feeling like too much of a deep dive. This spin off has also introduced me to their main podcast which is new and exciting for me. Can’t wait till we get to season 3 🙂

Two super smart women recapping Industry?!? Sign me up! They are so smart and thoughtful and even though I barely have any interest in the finance world it's fun to listen to them break down the episodes and it gives the show so much more depth and meaning. I cannot wait for them to do season 3!!!!
