This podcast is a work of art. The voices of these former sisters are so tender & powerful. Their stories are told with nuance, complexity, & respect. There are no easy truths or neat endings here, but there is a treasure trove of important universal human themes well worth spending time with: power, poverty, suffering, faith, authenticity, courage, hope, beauty. This is a listen that will stay with me a long, long time.

One of the best pods I’ve listened to all year. Beautifully done. As someone who grew up going to Catholic school, but not having a religion, this was fascinating. I admire these women. I also love that there is no hate or strong bias. Just real women’s experiences.

This is such an interesting look at nun abuse in the Catholic Church. Sexual, mental, physical. I never knew and I’m glad these former sisters have a voice through this podcast.
