The Toast is the best part of my morning! Listening to Jackie and Claudia has become a daily ritual. Their hilarious banter and unique perspectives on pop culture make my commute so much more enjoyable. I genuinely look forward to every new episode—they make me feel like I’m catching up with good friends. Jackie and Claudia are the dynamic duo everyone needs in their lives, and I couldn’t recommend this podcast enough!

Love a podcast that doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is a fun escape from reality. Love that they their share their truth no matter what is PC or the popular opinion of times. They are genuinely themselves through and through. Thanks for making me giggle to myself on my commute to work <3

I love this podcast and listen to it daily. These sisters are hilarious, speak the truth, and have the best banter together. I’m always interested in what they are talking about, and I think they offer great perspectives on a variety of topics!

I look forward to this podcast every day and I am far from a millennial. Jax and Claud are the cutest sisters with so much love and respect for eachother you can feel it through the mic. Also don’t skip the ads they make each and every brand feel relatable to all the girly swirlies. Thanks to you both for the endless laughs and brightening my day always!

Used to be such an avid toaster (every day listener, merch purchaser, live show attender, paying patreon member, etc.), but the show really turned unbearable to the point my opinion of them as people has drastically changed. I started to become peeved when they would consistently get stories wrong. As a “pop culture” show delivering “your fast 5 stories” this show format is super flawed if the details of the stories are incorrect. They have no validity in ANYTHING they say and come across as extremely ignorant, for matters big and small. They spew negativity and talk down TO their audience non-jokingly referring to them as idiots and other words alike or worse. They literally berate and scold their LISTENERS. I don’t know why any one would choose to listen to that. There is no lighthearted comedy weaved in like there once was and overall charm is gone. Just not something I want to consume, take up an hour+ of my day, nor support people that are so out of touch and plain negative.

I used to love The Toast, but lately, it’s been hard to listen without ending up in a bad mood. Instead of the fun, lighthearted banter that used to make this podcast so enjoyable, there’s so much negativity and constant lecturing. We’re already fans if we’re tuning in, so it feels off-putting to be spoken down to. Claudia tries to keep things positive, but Jackie’s cynicism really affects the tone and makes it feel like she resents the listeners—painful considering the support many of us have shown them through thick and thin.

There’s this lingering bitterness from their past cancellation, and it feels misplaced to take that out on their loyal fans. They’re quick to criticize people in the media for being vulnerable or relatable, as if only a polished ‘fantasy’ version of celebrities is worth acknowledging. But many of us who listen to The Toast are here because we’re able to look past what’s conventionally ‘perfect’ in the media. We support them despite the fact that they aren’t these traditionally glamorous figures—they’re relatable in a way that stands out from the usual media mold.

So, it’s frustrating to hear them criticize others in the media who share those same real traits, especially when many listeners just want authenticity. I hope they can get back to what made them special in the first place—connecting, not dividing.
